Tis Been a While

Aye it really has been a while since I have updated my journal with current goings on. I just tend not to really have much to put into the journal and I forget it actually exists. But, it has been just over a year now since I have written anything and I think it is about time to say something to whomever may notice.
Quite a few unfortunate things had happened since the last journal entry. I was evicted from my previous apartment due to being issued a Section 21 notice. My understanding of the notice is limited, but I shall try and explain. A Section 21 notice is a no-fault eviction; it gives the landlord the power to evict people without giving a reason after the initial tenancy period is up. I had not done anything to bring the eviction upon myself by breaking any of the rule regarding my tenancy, so I can only assume it was because the landlord had pans to renovate the building I was residing in given that it had some major problems. The rooms were leaking, the mould was atrocious and the windows had to be replaced with ones that could actually be opened. This turned out to be a good thing though: I got my full deposit back, and I managed to find a better apartment close to the city. So, despite the stress it caused, I have ended up in a better position.
Few months later, I was unfortunately I was made redundant from my job due to the Crayola virus. While I had been dreaded losing my job for a while, even before the virus has caught anyone's attention, I must say I'm feeling a lot more positive than I thought I would be in this situation. I think it's mainly because (a) the department I was working in at the time was gradually running low on work and so it seemed like it was inevitably going to close anyway, (b) I had been mentally preparing myself for the time that I may lose my job due to lack of work, and © the job itself was just making me miserable anyway, so I think just getting away from that current position has greatly lifted my mood and made me more positive about things in general. So that's everything on the work side. Of course now I am currently looking for a new position; something that hopefully will pay a bit more.
Now that I currently have more free time I've been doing a lot more art lately, and also I have taken a much needed break from video games as I had reached the point where they simply were not fun anymore. I may just decide to give up on games altogether, we shall see. This of course has given me even more free time, to the point where I'm actually running out of things to keep myself busy. I still do play guitar so maybe I shall do more of that. I've also pondered possibly writing some fiction, working on my touch-typing skills and my grammar in the process.
This brings me onto something else, that being RPing. I MIGHT (and I stress the word "might") try RPing again. It's something that I have been putting off doing because of some previous past experiences: finding people who are willing to the put a similar amount of effort in as I do in the RP, having the patience to actually take part in an RP, and having the confidence in myself to try RPing again. Hopefully I'll run into someone I can get along with and whom will give me the opportunity to try it out again. I'd like to properly have a updated ref pic of my fursona first before I consider trying it out again. I am in the process of doing one and it should be uploaded within a few days.
So yeeeeee this is all the main stuff that has happened to me in the past year, but I'm coming out of it with a more positive attitude than I had last year, so I'm feeling pretty good :v
