Sometimes old parts will put up quite a fight. I remember both mechanic at work spending an entire afternoon beating on a kingpin with sledgehammers trying to drive it out of the axle.

Yuuuup. Basically what happened. And ofcorse we thought we were going to hurt the car more..that's why panic set in and I thought we were going to have to take the car in.

But she's all good for now!

Sometimes you have to press them out if they get stubborn... Or the person who put them in used too much thread locker.

That happened today. It took both mechanics and a machinist from the engineering firm down the road most of the day to remove a few broken loader frame bolts from the transmission casting.

I'll be selling alof of the characters I don't connect with anymore... But I had to back out of selling afew.... I actually took it Abit harder then I expected when afew people wanted some of the characters I'm more connected to.

(I have sold characters in the past that I didn't want to bc I still love them... And it sucks.)

Oof, I can relate! Sold a character 2 years ago that I loved and they ended up getting renamed and disappearing. Sorry to hear you have had it rough. Sounds like you are on a better track now so hopefully people won't try to nab the ones that you are closest with. :)

I get to replace a wheel bearing too and exhaust on my Ford Focus this week, plus a bit of rust repair. Rocker panels are like literally just paint holding rust together in several spots lol (yay salted winter roads...)
Also need to do rust repair on the frame of my F150 which is irritating the truck only has 62k miles.
Still have my 92 Ranger though it still needs retitled after hit a deer with it like 7 years ago.

Yep just finished one rocker panel today. Cant complain about the car only paid 1000 for it two yeas ago and have put 21k miles on it.

So far completely re did the brakes, new tires, and replaced the water pump and a shift solenoid in the transmission.

I live by myself and have owned at least two vehicles for a few years now, and having a second car to fall back on has saved me multiple times. Definitely a good investment. After years of having the worst luck with cars, I spent months researching what to look for in a used car and what cars are the best and whatnot. Ended up settling with an '06 Corolla and a '10 Tacoma (the majority of car guys recommend Toyota, so that's what I went with), and a year later and a collective 20k miles, I haven't had any issues, which is a big win in my book considering the crappy luck I've had. I made sure both vehicles had documented maintenance, only one owner, a clean Carfax, and I had them inspected by a third party mechanic before purchasing. The only regret I have so far is that I got them through a dealership. Buy privately instead. You'll spend much less money, and you can still get a car loan to pay for it 👍
