Pregnancy, Commissions Complications, and You

Hello, lovelies!
First, I want to thank everyone still waiting on commissions for their patience. With our little wiggle quickly taking up more real estate in my fairly compact frame and my trying to juggle comic work, I'm running into some unforeseen obstacles and LOTS of setbacks when it comes to digital art. On a good day I'm able to sit long enough to finish maybe three or four character poses worth of linework with several walking breaks in between to keep my feet from swelling too much and my back from complaining too loudly. It makes for slow work, as you can imagine.
Because of this, I'm going to try to power my way through the remainder of the commissions list and then switch to strictly traditional media commissions so I can work in bed and hopefully crank out pictures with more ease. However, I hate to admit it, but I am almost certain that I won't have the stamina to make it all the way through my digital list before our wiggle gets too big for me to work properly at a desk. Realistically, we're looking at the current picture I'm working on and the completion of two other commissions at best. To all who end up on the unfinished part of the list and have to wait until after the baby is born, I am offering a 50% discount on your order for the inconvenience, if indeed you are interested in waiting that long. If not, no hard feelings. I know it's asking a lot from you. ^^'

I really don't think you need to discount commissions because you're physically incapable of doing them quickly. In fact, I think a sensible person would charge more if they were expected to work while they were having such difficulties, and everyone else would just have to be patient.

I wouldn’t feel right charging extra when I should have predicted at least part of how capable I’d be these nine months. Though it seems you aren’t the only one who feels that way about the discount. ^^

Have you ever been pregnant before? Because if not, I don't think you could be expected to know what it's going to be like. in any case, it's really not a good business practice to lower prices when you have to go to extra effort.

Take your time and work only when you are able. You and your wiggle are the priority in this. As I am fairly sure mine will end up on the unfinished list (I am last), let me say that a discount will not be necessary. I know you will get to it when you can and I am fine with waiting. Remember not to strain yourself, and I wish you the best.

Take care of yourself dear! You're busy growing a human right now lol, there are very few better reasons for patience. If you feel up to it and have time/think it would help to pass the time, RP would be awesome, but if not just be sure you're doing what's best for you and the wiggle!

Take your time, we can all wait. You are incredible, Dearshul. Take your time, take a rest every so often, and if that means that we have to wait, we can wait. Your pregnancy is of the utmost importance.

Thank you for the encouragement, my friend! I've been struggling to give myself permission to sit still, since I've always felt guilty when I'm not productive. I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts, though. Before too long I won't have a moment to be off my feet. XD But I'm rambling. Point is, thank you, I needed that.
