nice stuff!

Given the holiday season arriving shortly I've been giving that a lot of thought, but I made a pledge to myself that I would never hold a job for less than three months and I'm not sure I want to give a retail position that kind of commitment.

Oh yeah. I've done my time as well. Which is why I want to avoid it as much as possible. The only fond memory I had about the place was coming back a month after I quit and getting to watch my old manager be dragged out by security. She apparently had a nervous breakdown and had polished off one wine bottle and most of another over the course of an hour in the break room. It explains a lot actually. When I met her the first time she was very nice and sweet. And for the first few weeks she was the same. Then she started biting my head off if I wasn't back from my break two minutes early.

Did a stint as a night stocker in a grocery store as well. I quit after two months (only job I didn't go for three months and I felt bad) because my manager was crazy. He would stand at the end of the isle and just stare at you if he wanted you to go faster, which made concentrating nigh impossible and thus slowed me down. Not that he believed me when I told him that. Come to think of it... he also had a nervous break down after I quit. A friend who worked there told me that he had locked himself in his apartment and hadn't come out in days.

*smack* If you don't have a job, it's no time for you to be picky about where you apply, yes? ;) If there isn't anything else out there at the moment, pick up a quick retail position and at least pull in some paychecks.

Well, good luck with the job thing. Can't say I know anything about, well, anything over there, but around here there are online job banks for some provinces, mayhaps some digging will find something like that for your state?

Oh there are plenty of online job banks for the area. They're all just hiring for medical positions of one kind or another. Apparently I should have gone into nursing.

You live in Lincoln?! I go up there every year to see my family! For some reason I've start to realize a lot of my friends I've never actually met live in Lincoln or Omaha. Good luck finding a job bud. All I've worked in is retail. (Hope to rectify that situation soon with my graduation.)
