The current stuff: Twitter, facebook messenger, Telegram, Discord are the main ones. telegram and discord more for live chatting text or voice wise than twitter can do.
Most artists seem to use Twitter these days for artwork, now that Tumblr gave porn the ban hammer, and Twitter is great for sharing stuff and getting a lot of exposure with little effort. It's really shitty as a viewer though, because there's no reliable gallery, and Twitter just picks and chooses whatever order it feels like showing you things in, so you will never see a clear, ordered timeline from any person -- that and their infrequent art gets mixed up with all their retweets, likes, political rants, all that... So. Good for you. Bad for everyone else. l3
FA is still the most prominent furry art site I'd say. Many others have shown up since then to try and steal the throne, but they've all been too little, too late -- or too niche. Or controversial. l3
Most furries use Telegram or Discord these days for chat. Telegram is like, dedicated text chat mostly, whereas Discord is designed with group chats and group voice calls for gaming primarily. I like Telegram much more, but a lot of people like Discord too~
STAY
AWAY
FROM
TWITTER
it became a cesspool of ignorants and empty political agendas. seriously, that place reeks of neo hippies and ipad commies. gross.
discord, telegram and messenger. way better than twitter, faster and mostly....cleaner from cheap politcs.
FA's being emptied. Most moved to Twitter, which I consider a bad place for an art-gallery.
Myself, moved to Inkbunny and Pillowfort.
For talking, Discord seems widely used.
Twitter is a minefield if you draw anything remotelly controversial or that could offend anyone, avoid in that case.
Discord is the popular messinging it seems, and allows to create servers with chatrooms that artists use to publish their pictures to fans.
Mostly here and Inkbunny, with dA to a lesser extent.
I also probably post more of my works to miscellaneous Discord servers than anywhere else, since I am comfortable posting WIPs and minor doodles there but don't necessarily ever finish said WIPs or improve those doodles ^^;
