Things hadn’t gone too well since May. I left my prior job to take a spot with the USPS in April, but it fell apart in training. So I’d gone from about late May until now without a paycheck. Thank goodness I had a lot in savings and cut down on unnecessary expenditures while I searched. I had gotten contacted by Taco Bell and Walgreens, the latter who said they didn’t have the hours they thought and could only offer me part time. So I had to go to Taco Bell, my least preferred industry. Fortunately, I was rescued after only one day on the job—Walgreens called me back and said they found the hours after all and would happily offer me the full-time position if I’m still interested. So immediately I turned in my TB uniform (really just a few t-shirts, a hat, and an apron), and took the drug test the same day. Got called about 11:20 this morning saying I passed my drug test (no surprise) and I can start on Monday.
