Back Home

I'm back home from my trip to Florida. Overall it went well, though I wish I had more consistent internet while I was there. I also found limited time to work on editing images.
Flying was not much fun: from being treated poorly at the first airport to a crowded 2nd (of 3) plane rides. I did read an article that said contracting Covid on a plane has a very, very low chance, especially when the middle seats are vacant (which most were, save for that second flight). The airports were also more empty than usual, though there were busy patches, and absolutely no one followed the whole 'stand 6ft apart' rule. Most were wearing masks, though there were often those wearing them wrong or taking them off when no one was looking.
I'm self isolating at home in my room. I'm a very uneasy right now just because I'm waiting to see if I gain symptoms. I think I'm being too vigilant: I'm noticing every tiny irritation in my throat, cough, and wince of pain. I have asthma, a lot of what I'm feeling is normal, but I sit there in a near panic as I watch myself closely. Even writing this journal gave me a wave of nervousness, plus I'm in a hot room, and now I'm sitting here thinking I have a fever. I'm just praying don't have it. My asthma may be under good control, but I'm afraid of it flaring up if I get sick.
Its my hope, however, that this will be the only journal I write about it. I do not want you guys to worry about me, nor do I want to be a negative source of news. I like to be an escape from reality, I like to provide a fantasy world for you all to forget about the real world for a time.
That being said, I'm about a third of the way through edits on my next vore pack. It should go pretty quick. I also have a decent backlog of posts I need to make. I've been happy with my recent renders. I want to start digital drawing somehow, and I have school coming up again at the end of August. I think I'm going to get very busy here over the next few weeks.

As for a sign of the virus, you actually get a dry cough, sometimes before a fever. A sore throat can be a sign of getting sick however since it is still summer, sleeping with a fan on or having cold air from the air conditioner also can cause a cough briefly and a sore throat in the morning. A hot drink can help relieve that but if a cough lingers through the day that might be the first sign. I also ave asthma and I find I get a cough from breathing in cold air from the air conditioner but goes away if I go outside into warmer air. So if you have a cough while in a cooler environment but goes away in warmer air that probably is the reason for the coughing.
You can help boost your immune system by taking vitamin C or eating fruits and vegetables rich with vitamin C while you wait to see if you develop signs. Having a stronger immune system is just good to have anyways. Also your pets can not get the virus, not this particular strain, there is a strain of corona that is unique to them but humans can't get it. The only worry for your pets is if you cough near them, some of the virus might land on their fur and they can give it to someone else who interacts with them since they will be in the same area as you.
I hope these help ease your mind. They did for me!
