An Apology

Hey everybody, this post will be a little different.
I found out today that I've been blocked more often over on Twitter the past few days. I didn't really think I'd drawn or posted anything questionable, but I realized that others might be getting the wrong idea about the Tails drawing I did as part of my current poll. I didn't really think of sonic characters as bad subjects to draw since I had drawn them previously, but now that I've actually done some reading I realize that they're pretty much all canonically underage, so I've been going against my own policy without meaning to.
I really can't apologize enough. I'm not the kind of artist willing to draw underage characters and I don't ever intend to be. On the off chance this message gets to anybody who blocked me on Twitter, I'm sorry for my mistake and will be more careful in the future.
I'll gladly remove the offending drawings from all my galleries if you guys think it would be the right thing to do. I didn't know that sonic porn was a contentious issue considering the sheer amount of it. I was never intending to post anything offensive or inappropriate, and am again very sorry if I made anybody uncomfortable. I just want to draw nice furry rears for you guys and don't ever mean offend.

However, if you feel like worldbuilding, you could always draw the Mobian crew in a fan canon that takes place a decade after any official canon. Adding ten or fifteen years would put most, if not all, of the characters into firmly adult and consenting age. It also gives you the chance to develop the characters in any sort of direction you seem fit to push!
I personally like the idea of Tails becoming a sort of 'apprentice' to Rouge in her thieving trade, something happening in the unseen years which had the fox combine his genius engineering capabilities with a personality that is perfect for less-than legal acquisition of rare goods.
But if you don't find that too interesting, a simple wipe with no more Sonic art afterward would suffice.
Just glad you're not though :3 I feel a lil bad for not talking with ya about it earlier, but it's all sorted now it seems. As for others blocking you and such, I wouldn't expect too much even after rectifying the situation to your liking since there's been a lot of people who outright block or even spread a lot of the issue to all their follows in order to mass block someone. Not saying it's necessarily bad but the thought behind it doesn't always leave room for someone like yourself to express what you feel back to them.. So all I can hope for is the artists who you don't wish to be blocked by can understand everything going on :3
Of course, it's not wrong at all to want to draw for others and take in their reactions. Serotonin's pretty sweet, not gonna lie, but once you begin to appease others while sacrificing your creativity, that's when you put your spirit on the line, something that can be easily eroded and crushed.
What a world we live in where fictional characters get more consideration for their rights than real people, I say keep the pics and if people are offended let em seethe over what they believe is an issue.
Besides if Sega themselves didn't come out and stop you it must not be as bad as people say.
I think for the sake of being able to stay on the sites, removing the offending pics would be a good idea.
I just go by a simple, opinionated process: if I like the art, I look at it. If I really like the art, I watch the artist. If I dislike the art, I move on and look at the next piece. If I really dislike the art...I move on and look at the next piece.
Frumples, know that you did not make me uncomfortable. I enjoy your art very much. And I am sure that I am not the only one. I hope that means something to you.
going so far as to block you and everything without even checking about it (especially sonic porn which is everywhere all the time omg) is pretty silly to me sorry to hear that that happened to you.
anyway IMO its really not an issue. the art is of vaguely human shaped creatures of indeterminate age.
Draw what you like how you like.
If people are out there comparing drawn artwork to real child abuse they are in the wrong, not you.
Personally, I could care less what someone draws. Tails doesn't exist. Someone wants to draw him, 8, 18, 28, it's a drawing in all cases. Think of that famous painting, The Treachery of Images. Draw Tails and say "Ce n'est pas un renard."
I don't think you need to delete anything, though I've heard FA mods can be temperamental when it comes to Sonic porn, never mind the fact the site has an entire section dedicated to it!
If *you* feel you should take down the art, do so. If you feel it would give you some relief, do it. Art shouldn't stress you out. But it should be your decision.

In this case though, I did just plain make a mistake. Tails is underage and I didn't know that, so to be true to my principles I can't be okay drawing him as a NSFW subject.
But as mad as people are that Twitter is what alerted you to this (and don't get me wrong; I abhor Twitter and was banned for having the audacity to vie for trans rights), I will say that I'm proud ya stuck to your principles here! Still rather weird that FA has a whole Sonic category that coincides with the Mature and Adult ratings, but I guess that's more for the rigid adult characters like Shadow, Rouge, Vanilla, Chaos... And the sheer quantity of Sonic and Tails porn would lead the uninitiated to thinking that they had to be of age.
And, hey, at least you didn't draw Cream in a suggestive manner! Now THAT would have been Squick City! XD
But yeah, Cream is obviously a child. I didn't need to look up canon ages to intuit that!
