"invitation for furry study" scam?? thing??

I dunno how many of you guys are getting notes about this kinda thing, but if you do, I highly advise against clicking the links.
The accounts sending these notes appear to be unaffiliated with each other and are all empty accounts that signed up to the website on the same day or week as sending the note. It's highly suspicious.
I haven't clicked the link(s) myself, but the whole thing is one great big red flag. So stay safe!
In general, never click unintelligible links sent by strangers.

Great public service announcement.
But the questions were all pretty good phishing/security questions. Highly suspicious, especially since the one I saw asked for your username. If they legit needed it you'd have been provided with a link that fingerprinted you, and if it was a real study they would want the anonymity.
Maybe they'll arrange to auto-suspend accounts like this when the profile only really contains a forms link, but this sort of thing is always an arms race.
I'm joking though. I wouldn't click random links
Plus, let's face it, is this really a thing anyone would conduct a clinical study about? Ours is a facet of the population that people would rather ignore, nobody's going to devote the resources to studying what makes furries tick.
For example - Only last year I was interviewed by a Psychology MA student who was writing her Master's Thesis. Unfortunately, the paper is written in German only, which I assume wouldn't be interesting to you, otherwise i'd love to link it your way!
(Plus I too conducted a mini Field-Research of my local Furry Community for Science Class.)
However... the initial message stated this was for scientific (university) research - but these questions didn't follow any Guidelines for Scientific Research & appeared very unprofessional and, well, scammy.
Also, there was a lack of Red thread, so to say - all questions were regarding the Furry Fandom, but there was a definite lack of focus, or direction - so long story short, a ton of scam / phishing quesetions and definitely a bullet dodged.
;v; haven't seen them yet, but I'll keep my eyes peeled
