Commission Question (what kind?)
General
Pretty soon I'm gonna be caught up on commissions. - So.. I was wondering what kind of commish I should offer? The kind I'm doing at the moment are the more expensive and more time intensive ones. But a lot of people want the cheaper ones too where I do a few things like 100% digitally created, no background, to bring down the time spent and therefore the price.
S0:
more $90 dollar commissions?
more $40 dollar commissions?
or more simple 25 dollar commissions?
Tell me your thoughts!
Thanx!

CHeers!
So good income, easy to do, attractive price : < !
The lower the price, the greater the quantity demanded. Your total revenue would go up, due to the price of your elastic-demand good going down, making people want to buy more of it :D
Economics monkey at your service! <3
this is just IMHO of a layman and should be treated as such
I think it's more about managing the demand at a level comfortable to YOU. Are you comfortable with doing lots of quickies? Or do you like to express yourself in detailed pieces?
Also, the higher is the detailed and expensive commissions percentage in your folio, the closer will your 'artist image' be to exclusiveness and elitism, meaning you'll be able to get off with doing less commissions for the same $$$, and choosing which ones you want to do, and which you don't.
end layman advice
I personally REALLY miss your traditional and expressive pencils/markers/aquarelle works, like, for example, the 'Monkey on bars'.
Worth it.
