On the one hand, it sucks that they aren't bringing her back. But, on the other hand, it makes sense WHY. The amount they'd have to re-tool the character so that she wasn't just an R63 of Tex Avery's Wolf would pretty much result in a new character with the same look.

Take that one-note Batman villain, Mister Freeze. No point in expanding him to be a compelling and sympathetic (if broken) character, because he was originally basically a joke.

In the current "PC" era she is likely considered a sexist parody and feminists would be shouting from twitter about cancelling the show, so... yeah, I never expected her to return.
