D&D vs mythology...I guess I should be happy mythology survives in some form.
"Have you ever been around a rooster? They're mean as hell!" Alcohol and Arcana podcast, episode 8: Cockatrices. "Are they just big scary turkeys?" No, they've got a whole lot more going for them. It led me to this article which has a pretty sweet picture. And they addressed the controversy of how to pronounce it. They hated the way I say it, with a long I sound...and re-branding the monster to give it a better name so people care about it more. (Maybe NSFW)
(post script: their conversation towards the end had me steamed! Would you F it...-4? To hell with you guys. At least someone out there is down for it.)
Art Station piece by Tiffanie Gray since this will be short otherwise...
Unless I bring up my awesome new purchase, the Basilisk X Hyperspeed mouse for use with my work-issued computer. I was all proud of myself until someone told me "Oh, you fell for their marketing? Mine lasted a year."
Sigh. Well, let's live fast, and petrify hard!

V.
I've seen slightly larger ones, this looks like a dinky one you'd put on a shelf to look out over the room.
