Hello everyone, you're probably surprised as to why the journal is up this early. Because there will be an 18-hour maintenance to the FA server on Wednesday, putting it up then would cause a difficult work around. The rules will still apply to this entry, so I look forward to the songs you all post!

THE RULES/FINE PRINT
Three Important Rules!
1. The Spotlight is about showcasing new music, so pieces must have been posted within the past 2 weeks from when this journal goes live, or before submissions close, usually about a week after this journal is posted.
2. Please submit only one song. If you upload a lot of music, just submit the work you are most proud of!
3. There must be a long enough PG-rated section of your song to showcase! Usually 30 seconds to a minute will suffice. Remember, the spotlight is for everyone.
Other Guidelines
Please keep in mind that I do not necessarily select the BEST pieces, simply pieces that I would like to recognize. Sometimes they are of professional quality, while other might be a first-time, low-quality recording. Don't be hurt if you think a song that is "inferior" to yours is spotlighted. We are all musicians, and all deserve recognition for our hard work!
Remember, submitting your song below only guarantees that I will give it a listen and consider it for the next episode, not that it WILL be spotlighted. I will ALSO browse the music submitted over the past week or two to consider for the spotlight. Posting your song on this journal guarantees I will give it a listen, but does not necessarily give it priority over songs that are posted elsewhere on FA!
Songs MUST be hosted on FA to be considered. If only a portion of your song is on FA, it must be clear, with no advertisements for listening to it elsewhere, and it should also long enough to include in the spotlight.
If your song is spotlighted, you will be notified via shout! (Assuming I remember of course)
And don't forget, this isn't a contest! It's a Spotlight!
On occasion submitted music will also be featured on Xeno's non-profit Youtube show! Submitting your piece here means you are also giving consent for it to be featured as part of their show. Note that in this case, if your song is chosen, you will be notified of your promotion, and given credit where credit is due!
