Some thoughts (kind of serious, pedophilia mention)

Everyone knows theres a lot of bad people & pedophiles on the internet- and stuff like kinks and fetishes are a very sensitive subject that has a lot of discourse surrounding it. I've heard a lot from both sides- and i've had my fair share encounters with creepy, manipulative and all-around terrible people on the internet.
The truth is, my "weird" interests (I call them that because they aren't fetishes or kinks for me) are barely sexual at all- they're mostly just comforting escapist fantasies. but- and this is really important- to a lot of people, they ARE sexual. So that's why I only engage with people who I'm sure are comfortable and are fully aware of that knowledge.
A lot of people, usually creepy adults, use fetishes that aren't immediately registered as sexual (such as vore or paws) to trick kids into drawing things that they can get sexual pleasure from without being legally persecuted for CP or grooming. This is obviously really bad. back when i was on DA when i was about 11, a lot of people asked me to draw questionable things, and I did because I didn't know any better. I'm now realizing that these people are manipulative and general creeps.
Before I ask anyone about ANYTHING that could be considered a fetish (even if it isn't a fetish for me personally) I make sure that they're comfortable, know what they're getting into, and I make sure that they're around the same age as me. I don't want to make ANYONE uncomfortable and I don't want ANYONE to feel manipulated or draw or post something that is fetishy without them knowing about it.
I just want to let everyone know this because there's a lot of creepy borderline-pedophiles on this website, tumblr, deviantart and other social platforms full of teenagers and kids making art. I want to make it clear that i am NOT one of these people, and if I EVER make you uncomfortable, PLEASE tell me and- I won't be offended if you block me! Stuff like this makes a lot of people really uneasy, (even though, again, my "weird" interests are not a sexual thing) and I totally understand.
The internet is crawling with creeps and I want to just clear the air and make sure everyone knows that I am NOT one of those people!

Honestly with your position I've had that underlying feeling of concern, that people like that would try to engage with you. It gives me some comfort that you're that bold with keeping yourself safe, but I'm also hoping for extra safety on top of that for you.

Child abuse of any kind, be it sexual or violent, is outright dangerous and illegal. Such lewd acts and crimes against nature should not be tolerated, and have absolutely no place in our community whatsoever. It's no surprise that some idiots out there on the internet want to get away with doing such evil. Anyone who is caught doing such an act towards children should be arrested and sentenced to years of imprisonment with a fine of thousands of dollars. Honestly, people who act that way are disgusting.
