Upcoming Disapearence? [Vet bills] [AUCTION for Full Colo...

2020 sucks.
[Scroll down for tldr; upcoming auction for a full color pic and what will probably be one of the very few commission slots I can offer for a while!]
Long story short my eldest dog has been diagnosed with cancer.. again. We thought we had beaten it 2 years ago with a well timed and aggressive surgery, but it's come back with a vengeance. It's an extremely aggressive form of mammary cancer and spreading fast. This really came out of no where for us and we're still reeling. She had no symptoms, only a half inch mass that suddenly appeared.
I'm still waiting on a call from the oncologist, but I'll do whatever I have to do to give her as long as possible!
The first step is staging the cancer to find out how far it's spread, it's optional from what I understand but helpful. The Dr estimated $800 just for the extra diagnostics of staging. Then thousands for the treatment, and a tripled cost in food as I change her diet to something that gives the cancer even less to feed on. There isn't beating this kind of cancer, something I read that the difference between cancer in veterinary medicine and human is that in animals, it's quality of life first, in humans it's life at all costs. It's a hard pill to swallow.
I'm so thankful to have a fairly successful business, and an insanely supportive mom that are both allowing me to even consider treatment as an option.
To help pay for everything, but also avoid opening a million slots (because with the costs and upcoming vet appointments, realistically I won't have a ton of time on my hands) I'm going to try an auction.
I've never had a ton of success with auctions in the past, but we'll give it another go!
Tldr;
I won't be opening a lot of commissions in the upcoming future, but will be holding an auction for a full color piece to help cover the costs of vet bills.
Keep an eye on my submissions, where I'll submit an image announcing all the details!
