statement of obvious - voluntary self-segregation is bad

so ... in case you weren't aware ... several higher education learning centers (particularly more left-leaning) have opted to created black-only dorms and other such events.
naturally they're labeling with such flair as "unique to allow People of Color to speak with others directly about their own unique challenges and relate to one another"
...
but it's still voluntary segregation.
...
and now we have the natural other side of the coin forming
https://www.nationalreview.com/news.....al-cafe-event/
an equal, but separate, event for Non-POCs.
Of course ...
Because this makes subscribers of Social Justice look bad ... they'll defend it tooth and nail.
...
but it's still segregation. Only difference this time is that blacks and minorities are buying into it.

And don't get me started on Kate Smith's statue in Philadelphia. Torn down because she sang a song...that happened to make fun of racism...? That makes no sense. I don't want to take any political stances, and I want everybody to just get along, but that's just not how the world works. There's my two cents.
Those assholes actually get empowered by people just "wanting to get along." There's the nasty topic of appeasement that goes hand in hand with this situation ... so ... yeah. Start speaking out and stand up for sanity. If people lump you into a party because of that - so be it. At least you're trying to fix the problem.
And this happened because some crappy people (from what I've heard) got shot (one I'm not sure about and the other resisting arrest and trying to grab something from his car). If it was somebody who was a wonderful person (let's say Martin Luther King Jr. or Gandhi), then I'd be pissed off as well, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Just because they happen to be black and that they are videotaped incidents means you riot? And then wanting police funding to be cut because they have a few crappy officers? NO!
Train the officers to be more disciplined and understand that these officers have probably overstepped their authority with other races, too.
And yes, all lives can't matter until black lives matter, but the way it is said does kinda sound racist and inconsiderate. I think Arabic and Muslim peoples are thought less of because of the 9/11 terror attacks and the terrorist groups that come from the Middle East.
Anyhoo ... That whole thing sounds like a big Cover-Your-Ass hangup because "holy shit you don't want to be perceived as being racist."
This whole police-riot is centered around the notion that EVIL WHITE COPS TOUCH THEMSELVES WHEN THEY SHOOT MINORITIES.
... which is a racist statement in and of itself - calling all white people racist. And so that's where you get on the merry go round of apologizing for your words (like in that massive near-run-on sentence of yours).
When you look at the big issue and remove Race from the picture ... the story changes completely.
- A guy resisted arrest and was shot
- A whole bunch of assholes use this as an excuse to ditch work and burn down the neighborhood
- The news media brings on guests that say the police should be disbanded (without bringing on people who defend the police)
- Then you get a throng of people addicted to social media trying their best to prove how smart they are.
- And nobody wants to talk about it bluntly because they'll get censored for being Racist.
- So the problem gets worse
That's why I say - just speak your damned mind.
Remove RACE from the equation and a lot of things in the world change ... and a ton of things become inexcusable. The best way to stamp out RACISM is to stop treating world issues as if RACISM was the cause ... because when you just treat it as "assholes being assholes" the conversation is instantly easier to navigate.
