The winds have shifted and the fire's have slowed. Sofar as I know our house still stands. The fear is subsiding. While the rains haven't come yet, it feels like things are slowly starting to improve again and I've found myself finally able to relax. I'm still watching, just in case, but I can finally relax.

We are among the lucky ones. We had a place to go that has remained safe. Our house likely still stands, ash covered and untouched. I thank God for all of this. My heart goes out to those less fortunate. Those whose homes have burned. Those who are lost to us now. These terrible events bring many tragedies and I pray that all affected are able to recover quickly.

I thank the firefighters who have fought so very hard to keep us as safe as they can. They are still out there, working to ensure that the area becomes safe again. Fighting to minimize further destruction from the flames, which still burn. I know their fight is hard and I deeply appreciate the sacrifices they are making to save as much as they can. Thank you.

I will continue to update as things develop here, but know, my friends that, so far as I know, we are safe.
