No need to be sorry about anything. When you see galleries full of amazing art, you don't see all the failed works before that. It's perfectly ok to fail, actually it's only way to learn and finally create something good. I know it hurts when something you worked hard to create doesn't meet your expectations. I've felt completely worthless when my furniture manufacturing company was failing recently, despite years of work which we put into it. It finally failed, but then I found a job I've dreamt about.
I've worked with furniture designer who is probably one of the most talented of our generation. He once showed me how many failed designs he had for each one that was good enough to show. About 20 to 30. Instead of giving up, he impoved the design and it became really impressive. At the Paris trade show everyone was amazed with the final version we manufactured. It seemed effortless, but no one could see tenths of iterations and hundreds of hours of hard work that went into it before.
If you try and fail it just means you deserve to try again, and you are already better artist than anyone who have never tried.
