1. I do read them in the description, it's way easier and comfortable than to click on a seperate file and I can very easily comment or read comments afterwards. That's why I also copy my stories into the description... always. It also helps to attract new folks from my experience.

2. I click on the links beforehand, I overread them without paying any attention.

3. I'm fine with reading them on here.

1. both long stories prefered in pdf.
2. no none but its interesting to have a image on things to run my mental movie
3. iam not familiar with those alternatives iam not much outside this site mostly just plays games
also do really love when the upload image is either relevant or tells about the content with text it makes them stand out from the default no image

I'm not huge into stories in the description, just means a lot of scrolling cause I always open the pdf.

I know some people prefer description, google docs, or others so I don't see why not post them there.

1) I am usually reading from description.. But if there is no story, then I am downloading it from link

2) images are fine for me

3) I am fine from read from description or download pdf but if you prefer add this other links, its okay for me

I use both the description and the file download. I usually save the story for off line reading.
I have had no problems with images in the stories.
So furry is really good for reading from a website, but it's lack of download options mean that I'd still come here to download the PDF.

A: Yes I usually read them in the description, However FA has a limited number of characters for a submission and most of the time any long pieces get mutilated so I often download the PDF file and then check it out on the phone or in the laptop.

2. Do images embedded into the stories cause you any issues while reading them?

A:No they don´t I usually like the images since they help me more or less see what´s going on within the story, covers as well help me know what it will be more or less about.

3. Would you prefer alternatives to reading stories, such as hosting stuff on sofurry, reddit, or google docs rather than having it thrown in the story description?

A:Maybe in Sofurry it could work better if you´re looking for an alternative, Upload a part of the story here, then the full on sofurry.

1. If it's in the description I'll probably read it there unless the author notes that there's formatting only visible in the pdf. Or if it's really, really fuckin' long (example: "The Show" by DTF). In that case having a pdf can help you keep your place when you can't read the whole thing in one sitting.

2. You mean like the passages with links, like in "It's A Small World" ? Nah, that's actually pretty cool. I'm tempted to steal that idea!

3. More options are always nice, I suppose. But I'm a lazy fuck, so reading it in the description or PDF is fine by me.

I do both an upload and a description. Not everyone can read the uploaded files so I give folks both options, although there's a lot of inflection and tone that doesn't make it in for formatting reasons. I don't think imagery embedded in the file is an issue, don't think I've ever seen anyone say it turned them off (as long as the imagery was good of course).

1. I'll generally read a story in the description if it is posted there. Although if it's longer and can't easily be read in one sitting, I may download it for easier re-access.

2. Images embedded into stories don't cause me any issues, as far as I'm aware.

3. I'm not active on any of the other sites you mentioned, so FurAffinity is easiest for me.

1) PDF! get them into okular pdf reader in my linux, commute color change and read them in the glory of a nice dark mode matrix style.
2) Multimedia is great
3) googledocs is ok. Idontknow if nextcloud works too or if you have to host it first
