Do you know if I have to upload it directly as a file type or can I copy and paste? I often work from google docs and then copy, paste and fix formatting in DA and Pixiv where I already upload.
I know that FA can handle .pdfs, so that would be how I would recommend that you upload your stories. There are plenty of free .pdf converting softwares out there and it protects your work.

FA does also accept .rtf (Rich Text Format), .doc (Word Format) and .txt (Text Format). Reading a story on FA in Text Format is somewhat difficult and often loses some of it's formatting, so I don't recommend it. It can be a distraction for the reader and that takes away from the work of writing a delightful story, righ?
Hmm somewhat. I'll have to play with it. I would like to leave my content for as many people to enjoy but in general would prefer to leave it on the site rather than working through a third party sort of thing like a pdf.
