The good news is that my current laptop is very much still functional, and I do also how have partial access to a back-up laptop should anything suddenly go horribly wrong with this one.
The bad news is that, I think (and by I think I mean I'm pretty sure) that the lower part of my laptop's case is warping due to extreme heat. While I do have a fan and use it with this laptop, especially when I'm using it to play videogames, and I do have programs that are supposed to help with the fan settings and such, it seems like something is causing the place where my left hand rests to bulge upward. It's semi swallowing my Windows, Alt, and the left side of my Spacebar, as well as making the buttons of my touchpad not work properly. Luckily I have a mouse so this isn't an issue, and as I mentioned before I do have a back-up laptop should this one suddenly decide to fully melt itself from within or explode.
Issue with the back-up laptop is that it's one that has already had several serious problems, like a bent fan and a dying battery. The battery is about to be replaced and I will attempt to make sure that I can get everything I'm currently working on, as well as Adopts and bases, onto the back-up laptop before anything serious has to happen with this one. Hopefully it's as simple as the case is warping cause it's getting too hot and it's not anything super duper serious that would require me to get a whole new laptop.
This is mostly just me mentioning something now in case the laptop explodes and we can never manage to get the back-up to work and I'm gone for an extended period of time. Even if that does happen, there are several people I could contact to leave a message down in my comment section to inform everyone of what's going on.
So, fingers crossed everything goes smoothly! I'd say cross your toes too, but I heard somewhere that crossing your toes actually causes bad luck instead of good, so maybe don't do that one.
