HTH STUDIOS
Really quick. Very busy with the next HTH 2 Update. Multiple new areas, characters, sex scenes, bug/sound fixes, fx, music and downloads.
Some changes will be coming to the internal working of the game. it may go kind of haywire when I make the next update so i'll need people to let me know what happens.
This last month my primary HD freaked out and shit itself. I was working on the problem for quite sometime. Apple tech support had to look at it three time...I abuse my machine...some times it cries.
Anyway all files and game content are safe and sound. New backups have been made and work has resumed. This next update is going to GREATlY expand on where the player can go and how the player moves. I still have character animation to due but I'm looking at a week to two weeks for the next update. My work schedule has also been horrible this last month so i appologize for floating of into deep space once again.

Before you do the update, however, I would like to request that you change something about your last major update... the "sex scenes" as you put them look like they were all changed to (rather poor quality) quicktime files or something. They are pretty pixelled-up and don't look nearly as good as they did in the versions prior. I think it would probably be best to go back to the way they looked before... more smooth, easier to see and didn't get wonky on the 'speed up' options.
Otherwise, things are pretty good.
I think you're replying to the wrong person. I just gave a suggestion on something to fix to the current version, not to make any "NAO!" demands or ask him to hurry or whatever you're implying.

Also, I would try to make the animation of the loop more fluid, since in many cases theres almost half a second pause between each loop of a sex animation, and the sound cuts out for this time too, and this is not just a failure on my side, my friends had the same probleme and they have faster PC's.

sucks that you had that computer trouble, seems like my favorite artists on here are going through lots of computer problems...
anyway, cant wait til the update, hope everything goes well.
As for the game, there were pretty big animation problems after the previous last update, where the animations have some sort of gap in the looping; really f-s up the scenes. As for everything else, it seems like the new Hall is a pretty happening place.
Btw, you are of course aware people will be taking your word as for the update timeline.
Still though. You put up all these fine ass girls in an animated sex game, and then you give us teases? You a cruel, cruel man, Crowchild...a cruel...cruel man. D:

Take your time crow^^ From the beginning to this stage I waited FAR over 2 years now, one or two weeks more won't kill someone^^

Take which side you like, but both sides are right and wrong in some way. Im just gonna sit on the fence with this one.
In all due seriousness though, Crow's credibility would be much improved if he'd just shoot for smaller, more managable updates; Give us a new sketch (doesn't even have to be colored dude), tell us about your day, do a video of yourself eating ice cream or whatever, but just try and get into the habit of updating your profile with somthing every now and again so we know you haven't fucked off for parts unknown.
I know you're working a lot and you might be moving again, so try to set more realistic amounts of time to give yourself the extra time needed to fix any problems that may happen.
I would also like to say that if progress on High Tail Hall 2 is like this, I wonder what High Tail Hall Classic would be like if that ever comes back into production or any other projects Crow might come up with. But still, I really would like to see Crow giving himself the time he needs to do what he says he is going to get done and letting us know its going to take about that long, instead of disappearing for months. There's no way he could make all those updates in only 2 weeks, especially with with his work schedule of two jobs.
Well, whatever. Lets try to make it an even hundred!

I bet a few of my friends that this thing wouldn't get updated before the one year mark,... very few of my friends,......ok, I have no friends....
Anyway, I'm at the point where I just find Crowchild amusing, he shows up outta nowhere and says, "I'm gonna get some shit done!", then just leaves everyone hanging, a lot of these^ comments are rather funny.
It's not that I have anything against Crowchild, but I've all but given up hope on him. If he actually finish the game, good, but I not gonna hold my breath.
That and his persistent vanishing acts are what kill his respect.
So, yes, he shouldn't be promising things he can't deliver and just be honest, but seriously, stop hating on him because you can't get your rocks off in a timely manner. I'm not trying to defend Crow for making promises he can't keep, but it needs to be expected from someone in such a spot as him.

you know, it just occurred to me that several of us are gonna fell like real assholes if he were to show up out of nowhere with the whole game completed....
I doubt it, but this is the internet nothing surprises me anymore....
nadroj: In a way, I kinda am. I'm not blaming his actually making the empty promises on the economy, just his inability to keep them. That's why he ought to stop making them. Otherwise, it's nothing against you guys.

Crowchild should take a page out of other artists playbook and release whatever it is that he's been working on during the week or two. I don't think anyone here is expecting for there to be 2 new girls a week on HTH2 or a full album of gorgeous girls, but it would be childs play to release sketch work, or repair a busted loop in hth2.
I don't expect the sun and the moon from artists, least of all when they do it for free, but theres simply no excuse for an artist to be this out to lunch and still afforded excuses.

apart from the dvd but with all his problems like being evicted, work, pc and so one you can't blame him for dissaparein of the net i mean hth isn't the only life there are things out side a pc that u have to take care of first
so when he says he'll do somthing and it isn't done in time then don't go all haywire cus the dude has sooo many more prioritys apart from a game that is for free

Let this be a lesson for all of you: don't pay an artist money until his product is more then a concept in his head.
last month sometime I send Crow an email and he replied to it the very next day. So it seems he checks his emails frequently enough. Contact him via that if you want to check up on how your commision is going like I did ^^

Crow is still active it seems :)
However, I'm sure Crow will update when he is ready to, and hopefully that will be sooner than later. Do not believe the silly rumors that he is dead.
Still, this is somewhat promising, in that it shows crow is doing somthing with the website. perhaps a modest update or two is in the works.
I'd be happy with some audio/loop fixes so the scenes don't look so dam jerky.
At this point, I don't even know if a new journal from Crow himself would be enough to make anyone happy, here... and that's probably why he hasn't bothered posting one yet. I'm sure he is very aware of the fact that he owes art and is behind on updates, and because everyone watching his account is so ready to jump on him if anything is a little off or forgotten or not what they were expecting... so I don't blame him for waiting to post until he has the time to post something good.
He IS alive, he IS busy, his job schedule IS crazy, he HAS moved multiple times in the last several months, and he IS working on everything he owes. That's all I can say, sorry if it's not much consolation.
Next time you see him, Suggest to him that he post things. Not neccesarily the update or mind blowing pieces but just whatever he's been working on during the week (photo's, doodles, sketches, writing...). And get to updating his journal on a regular basis; Maintaining an open dialogue will at least give the impression that he cares about his fans.
Hopefully when he's more settled at this NEW new house, he'll be able to get things a little more together and get back online on a more regular basis. We'll definitely do our best to encourage him. Believe me, we were telling him long before those glitchy updates that he needed to let us beta test and proofread things for him, so maybe he'll listen this time ^___^
Vanishing for months at a time and making posts with empty promises just hurts him.
Personally, i'd be happy with just the animation looping/music sorted, along with a few of the bugs being sorted, never mind new people being added. Mind you, I've never understood why it went with a more... cinematic.. style, but thats just me, i guess.
Either way, hope we see something from Crow soon.
do u wanna see if he is doing ok? and ask him if he wouldn't mind give us the heads up if he is haveing problems and needs to change the date or somthing?
