The Problem with doing Trades

Hope everyone is doing ok.
I love doing trades and everything but sometimes I feel like they should be done a certain way.
One person starts off with a simple sketch. After that sketch is done, then the other artist should do their sketch and inking. After thats done, we go back to the first artist and they do their finishing touches and then ink, color and finish up. Then the other artist does the same and both are finished at the same time.
I feel like now I'm in a tight spot with some trades right now that are already finished and I haven't really started on yet.. Some I might need to change and some I have no idea how to start. :/
But that's how trades should be done.

And I actually said before starting a trade that I wanted to do it back-to-back in stages. But now I'm stuck on a few because the others finished theirs before I even started. x,-,x
Oh well, just means you got to push through and finish it i guess. I kinda only do trades bout one or two at a time only so i don't get overwhelmed with stuff.
Some are quick and some aren't or don't have the time to finish one art piece in a day. Plus I do traditional, it takes more than a day for me to start and finish one piece because I have distractions everywhere.
drawing's always hard.
though it works quite differently for different people i guess. For instance for me i tend to actually work faster when the other side completes cause that's the extra motivation I need.
Focus is somethin you'd need to work on to finish trades I guess.
