The road ahead - IMPORTANT NEWS!
Hello everybody! Hope you’re doing okay, especially with the state the world’s in right now.
I wanted to take this opportunity to talk to you all about some points I have given a lot of thought (maybe more than I should’ve), about the direction I want to take this account.
As some of you might recall, earlier this year I went to VancouFUR in Canada. The main purpose of that trip was to attend my very first furry convention, but ALSO, as a “side-quest”, I met up with the son of a family friend who might be able to help me find work over there.
Things started to move in the right direction as far as I was concerned, but after coming back to Mexico a week and a half later, lockdowns started to take place all over the world due to COVID, so that job opportunity got put on hold until further notice.
Ever since the previous time I went to Canada looking for work, I was able to sustain myself through a couple of freelance gigs with previous employers, and helping out my parents at their shop. Some were fulfilling, others were not. Nevertheless they were able to provide for my con trip.
Once I came back home, commissions became my main source of income. I’m still perplexed by the fact that I'm able to make money to sustain myself again doing something I quite enjoy and I’m glad you do too.
Over the course of this year, I have learned a lot about how to organize my time, set my own deadlines and deliver drawings in a timely manner. I suppose I needed to throw myself in there to learn, otherwise it would’ve been very hard to do so.
Like I stated at the beginning, I have been giving it a lot of thought and been shifting my focus to try and make this work as a full time job, and taking this into consideration, I plan on raising my prices a bit to help sustain myself as a freelance artist.
For the time being, I’d appreciate any support you can give me through my Ko-Fi account. This is to help me bring more content to you independent from what people commission from me.
Ko-Fi is going to be used as a sort of tip jar, in addition to the income I make through commissions. I don’t plan to upload much artwork to Ko-Fi since the vast majority of it is going to be posted on my FA gallery and on my Twitter account.
Given the game plan I have right now, If I’m not doing commissions I’m not making money, so the unintended consequence is that I don't give myself time to practice or work on whatever it is I want to improve, which is very important if I want to get better.
I’ve given a lot of thought about opening a Patreon, which I hope will be able to ease the income pressure a bit. I’m still thinking about what tiers and rewards I’m going to offer, so probably that’ll come in January 2021. I hope that will let me open the doors to more ambitious projects down the line.
I appreciate all the support you’ve given me through these years. I never thought that my silly drawings of round animals would be liked by so many people, let alone giving me the opportunity to make a living doing so. Even though I’m not that much of a social person, I read every comment you guys take the time to write and I cannot thank you enough for your support!

Possible job opportunity in Canada got put on indefinite hold due to COVID, so planning on raising my comm prices, and adding Ko-fi and Pateron as a game plan to be able to make this work as a full time job.
