Light at the End of the Tunnel

After almost 2 months our emergency renovation is *done* 🎉 I still need to put back everything and organize a bit but the appliances went in this weekend! We have a new roof and some new walls and a new kitchen. It was an exhausting amount of work.
Truthfully, I’ve been feeling very disconnected from furry recently. I’m not sure if it’s the stress of all of the house work or my interests are changing. I mentioned to my husband I hadn’t really felt like posting to my Twitter at all. At first I thought it was a healthy break from social media, but now part of me is worried that I’m withdrawing from people and things I care about. I’m hoping that with a lot of the stress behind me I’ll start feeling like reaching out to people again.
I still have a lot of work and projects I *want* to do. Right now I’ve mostly been working on a quilt and some teddy bear clothes. I’d still love to learn how to sew proper bears at some point. I think it would be fun. I also have a Halloween game/project I want to try to pull off but we’ll see if I have time to set it up 👀 This weekend we’re going to the drive-in theater to see Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus. I’m super excited for Halloween!

Also..dont worry about the disconnect thing. You're a highly creative persona dn I dunno about you but I go through cycles of stuff so you get drawn to one thing intensely for a while and then something else pulls you to something else. The high levels of stress you've been under will have def had an impact too, so basically..dont stress over it and things will come round again at some point.
I also very much go through cycles! I'm hoping I will start feeling more up to doing creative stuff again soon.

But I think a lot of the withdrawing from people is just you having been under a lot of stress and annoyances of your house trying to fall apart on you. I'm sure after you recover from it you'll be back to your old self. :3
i bet once you really get settled in and things go back to feeling normal, your drive to participate in the community will naturally return! but hey, delving into more hobbies is great, and if you create any adorable stuffies don't think i'm the only one when i say i'd love to see them!
Quilts and Teddy Bear Clothes sound like really adorable projects to work on.
The Drive In Theater Sounds like a really cool thing to do and both of those movies are really good Halloween movies..... especially Nightmare Before Christmas. I hope that you enjoy that with your husband this weekend.
Also, I noticed your icon change. What a super adorable and creative icon of Kitty. I see what you did with the icon. The most adorable polar bear sona in Kitty dresses up as a kitty for Halloween. Super adorable and creative with the icon. Kitty dressing up in a kitty suit is too adorable!! Kitty should definitely wear a kitty suit more often, lol. ^^

The icon is old enough that I honestly can’t recall if I picked putting her in a kitty costume because her name is Kitty. That is a very good point though. I should draw her in kitty costumes. The name made more sense when I was a chinchilla kit but I like being a bear cub much better :) I hope you are doing well!
