I hope your pen comes back home safely

In reality, I know it's long gone. Best I can truthfully hope for now, is that someone else is getting some use out of it rather than it ending up in the trash somewhere.

While I appreciate the words, I'm very much fine. Just thinking about the lost pen after all this time. I have plenty of other pens now, several from the same company, but that particular pen helped paved the way. So hey, if you're ever considering getting a fountain pen, I'd certainly recommend the Lamy Safari. Not that other options don't exist, but I've always liked the way it writes.

Can't recall if I actually used it for drawing much, I think it was more used for taking notes and scratchwork.

Ooo, do you use them as well? A main writer of mine has been the Lamy CP1 for quite some time now, but I do miss the more playful aesthetic of the Safari.

Yeah! A friend got me into pens haha. I only have the Safari, and I love it. We have a local pen show that ends up being pretty fun! All of them are so expensive though haha. Thanks for the watch too :)

Can't say I've been to a pen show, but they seem plenty fun. So yeehaw there.
Only downside to the Safari (for me, anyways), is the lack of a converter.

They are fun! If one springs up around you, I'd definitely recommend it! Are you talking about a converter for using bottled ink instead of the ink cartridges? If so, the Lamy Z28 converter is compatible with the Safari! That's what I use in my Vista (I forgot my pen is a Vista..but it's essentially a clear Safari) and it works like a charm!

I know that Lamy produces converters separately, but the fact that the Safari doesn't come with one initially makes it just a touch harder to readily recommend to friends. Or to gift it since a Twsbi Eco would be cheaper at that point, y'know?
The Vista looks really cool, especially with the red converter being visible, but I can't say I've owned one myself. (But yeah, pretty much the same thing from a functional standpoint)
And woah, just checked and sure enough, there will be a pen show in my town next month. Which is not normal, but very much exciting.

Plenty fair for sure. And you know, it's funny, the Lamy nib used for many of their pens is the same across the board, yet it's always fun writing with a different Safari or other pen in their lineup that uses the same nib. So perhaps I will look into the Vista as it can still be a fun time.
And yeah, the cancellation makes sense. As for the one over here, we'll see what happens come the actual date.

Hopefully they're able to pull it off! It's a fun time for sure
