Clingy Coots are Small spirit creatures that cling to an object called an Entity

The Clingy Coot species Was Made by Furaffinity User Duo_Kitsune with help from FrostFireBlitz, and is a closed species only available through their adoptables and trades currently.

Clingy Coots are born from the same magic their parents use to make their object or “Entity" for short into a living thing. These Coots start out with no color and are just blank. They leave the forest grove they were born in and go out in a search for an Entity. Once they find a Entity that they connect to, a spirit magic occurs making them bond and cling to the Entity they chose. The entity slowly changes the appearance of the spirit creature making special markings and color appear on their fur. They then quickly travel back to the forest somewhere protected. A few weeks after the bond was made, they go into a sort of hibernation as glass bubbles float and gather around the Entity concealing it in a bubble that protects it. This is a very important process because the health of the Entity affects the health of the Clingy Coot, and if broken will kill the spirit creature if he or she cannot find a new Entity by the next full moon. Once the bubble is complete, they leave the forest grove and explore, to meet other Clingy Coots in order to find a mate. The adult Spirits now have a power to turn their Entity into a living being, the form of it depending of the Entity. They also gain a special ability related to the Entity they chose. Once The Creatures mate, they share their power into making a newborn Clingy Coot, and the process starts again.
