BLM is a racist group that wants people to focus on the 1% of black homicides committed by police, while also wanting people to ignore the 84% of black homicides committed by blacks.

I agree one hundred percent. I don't shove my politics at anyone else. Neither should the FA admins.

Harassment is not political. Part of the admins' job is to prevent harassment among FA users. For whatever reason, they equate BLM as an ordinary anti-racism slogan. Anti-BLM, therefore, would qualify as ordinary racial harassment.

If you agree that BLM is a leftist terrorist organization, then yes, this would be concerning, but that's clearly not the tone they're setting in the message, and when has FA ever been in support of violence?

The slogan "BLM" is perfectly fine. The organization isn't, though; among other problems, that group has been smashing statues of the Founding Fathers, looting stores, and violently attacking cops and civilians -- over and over. The FA admins' post looked to me like support for the movement/organization, not just that they were "against racism". In fact it was worded to suggest that anyone against BLM is a racist. Imagine if the wording were, "We're aware that some people don't agree with PETA; please report sadistic animal abusers." That doesn't literally equate the two, but it sure does imply that.

It would've been best if FA had simply said "get out the vote; here are links to voting sites" and not taken a stand on any specific topic.

I agree. I was tempted to say "I'll be voting Trump" in my journal last night instead of simply "I'll be voting." My mother says to keep your cards close to your chest, so that's what I decided to do. Would that social media platforms do the same!

Yea their support of burn loot murder is saddening.

Gonna be a very interesting next couple of days, that's for sure. Unfortunately I don't feel like there's much I can do about it other than casting my vote and being prepared as well as I can. Stay safe!
