Gonna get comfy here. Let me grab a chair!

It's been a long past couple months, but I'm gonna try and inch my way back into drawing. Here's a slight recap for those curious about where I've disappeared to.
During August, my area had a massive string if heatwaves. I'm talking weeks in the hundreds. We even hit over 110f a handful of times. My house is poorly insulated so I packed my dogs, cat, plants, work computer, and favorite blanket to temporarily move out. I wasn't home for most of August because of the heat.
Then the fires came! Luckily the fires only got close enough to be worrying once. The ash was pouring down like crazy, and it wasn't until I was running outside with the dogs that I remembered I had asthma. Woops! Looking for my rescue inhaler was a pain in the ass because I never needed it before and forgot where the damn thing was. I was too much of a weenie to move back home because of the fire smoke, which meant I stayed put for a couple more weeks.
After settling back home I was ready to get back to art. Then work kicked my ass. I got roped into a video project, filmed long hours, and had to deal with file tranfer sizes from hell. To top it off, my graphics card shit itself and I was doing video projects without it. Leading to long hours behind my bosses back. Not to mention sneaking an hour or two on weekends. Because of the pandemic, my place isnt doing paid overtime. I love our clients too much to give then a heavily delayed product, so extra work off the clock was worth it for me.
I was so warn out that I was starting to spend all my free time sleeping. Worth it! Today the project got final approval and the clients are happy with everything. I'm finally free from video hell and I'm hoping to get back on track doodlin.
I still have a backlog of art I need to post. Since I go days, sometimes weeks, without touching my PC I keep forgetting, heh.
I hope you fluffs and stuff have been good! I miss this place and need to catch up on all the pretty art.

Thank you! I'm super excited to be able to just chill for a bit. The last couple months weren't too hard, thankfully. I'm just naturally low energy, hehe.

Geeze, that sounds like a hectic few weeks indeed! Glad you came out the other end alright. It sure has been one hell of a year for... basically everyone I know. Hoping 2021 is a bit better!
