Covid diagnosis + Auctions

General
My grandma, who I take care of, tested positive for Covid. She went to a cousin's wedding (that we all begged her not to go to) and 4 days later developed a fever. After getting her tested yesterday, she's positive and we're in quarantine. I'm her primary care giver, so I'm most likely going to get it too. So far her symptoms are mild, but she's 85, and already has trouble breathing, so we're keeping a very close eye on her.
Don't let anyone tell you this disease isn't real, or the pandemic isn't happening. Anyone can get it, and it only takes 1 lapse in judgement to get infected. Please stay safe, and please wear a mask. Even if you aren't worried about getting it yourself, it's people like my Grandma who are being killed by this pandemic, and doing something as simple as wearing a mask could save their lives.

I'm really sorry to hear about your aunt too.
The US is kind of a mess right now, lots of different states have different rules, and our state has been pretty lax on lockdowns (and now there's a huge spike in cases) Our hospitals are also over-flowing so if she gets worse I really hope we can find treatment for her.

In one of his vids he links to N95 masks he recommends especially for caregivers to someone who caught it:

Y'all stay safe, wishing you all the best
There have been reports from several odd sources that this works as a form of therapeutic. Worst case scenario you can make screwdrivers with orange juice.
Stay safe, thoughts and prayers with you! <3
Best of luck to you and yours with your recovery, okay? >O<
Two things my family learned dealing with it:
1. Be prepared to contact someone in regards to hospice care early if you or the doctors think they might be making a turn for the worse. My grandfather was in a nursing home so what happened was is a nurse would come in from outside the locked down facility to administer some sedatives to make his passing as peaceful as possible.
2. If you get to the point family members may want to say goodbye, try and let what family you can in to say goodbye. Only grandfather's immediate kids (my mother and two uncles) got to see him. Our grandmother couldn't because she has her own health problems. No grandkids got to see him before his passing either. Even if it's a zoom call or saying goodbye through a window, not being able to say goodbye in person hurts.
Hope things go well and carefully.
i want to appologize
i know that many people see Corona as something super serious
if lyser's granny passes away from the virus, i would of course feel sorry for them, and wish them the best of luck
i also looked into it, and every country has a different death % with Corona, something i didn't know at first
but i hope you all also understand that everyone has a different look on the virus, with mine being a lot more carefree
i truelly appologize for the words i chose
Keep an eye out for long term fatigue/stamina issues, I feel like I went from slightly out of shape to several years out of shape within a couple of weeks. I've slowly recovered, but even now I can tell how much it pushed my stamina down.
Blood vessel damage, especially anything preexisting prior to diagnosis, is likely to worsen. I started noticing a very small bleeding issue about a week after I recovered proper, and it's still going on. It hasn't healed fully even now, but it's finally starting to improve after 4 months of very lightly bleeding all the time. I'm fine, thankfully it's very contained and not internal bleeding into a body cavity so I'm waiting to see if it clears up on its own or needs surgery, but others may not be as lucky.
I'm still undergoing some diagnostics to determine if I have some liver/kidney damage, which could definitely be related to virus, but I'm unsure of full details so this one is still on the outer rim of viral related possibilities.
I can only hope it doesn't stir up long term issues, but the reality of it is that it very well could and I'd rather be aware and ready to handle the risks than unaware and blindsided hard.
Believe me I’ve been treating the pandemic with full seriousness. Wearing a mask outside the house and anywhere else.
I've shared this information before from the OSHA website.
I feel for your loss, I truly do.
But telling people to wear something that doesn't work compounds the issue.
There is no clear way to prevent anyone from catching CV-19 other than hiding in a locked closet.
Only other advice I want to give, which most people seem to forget now, since masks were made to be the big thing to stop 'rona, but remember to wash your hands. Frequently. You must also try to avoid touching one's own face as much as possible. Masks help, but disciplined hand hygiene is, in my uneducated non-medical opinion is as important, if not more so than masks.
Really hope your aunt gets well soon, and stay safe.
