Perhaps some sort of mini-convention? reserve hotel space at a holiday in or some place less known and hold a shindig there.

And..I'm probably not even technically considered a furry so its all good lol.

FURROAMing the MOA would be interesting because its easily a free event...to an extent. If need be, furs can hunt down what they need to.

Not to mention its a chance to show people the brighter side of furs. The fursuiters would go over amazing with kids I think. Like giant living stuffed animals.

The mall isn't very receptive of it, apparently. I had actually brought it up before with Pepper, asking him if maybe we should wear our tails there for fun. Apparently he's had bad experiences with it already... so I don't want to risk it.

I was about to post that. the MOA has a policy that unless you're working for a business there you can't wear anything that covers your face. Thats most public places and buildings.

yeah and from what ive seen the Ontario furs do it at least i think its them and they go to there massive mall up there from what ive seen from their pics they look as if they have a blast up there

Hmm... I dunno what to say about the fursuiters. I'm not into that myself. The MNFurs tend to meet at a Perkins restaurant when they do it. Maybe y'all could meet at one of those or a Denny's or something?

I thought of something else, too.

I know I had mentioned the restaurant for general meets, but it's not likely that suits will be welcome there. Then I recalled some gatherings back in MS where the people who put them on reserved the conference/meeting rooms of some of the local libraries. I'm sure it would cost money to reserve them, so you would have to consider asking for donations for the rental fee. If there aren't any such places in libraries in MN, perhaps there are some small convention centers? Again, a reservation fee will probably be required. And, because of that, such meets would have to be planned for certain times. Like how the MNFurs picnic is in the Spring and the Fall. You may want to arrange it for the beginning and the end of winter, because you have other places to meet up during the rest of the year.

I think I know of a place... Apple Valley community center, right across from the high school.

Also as a note, by running this account you should schedule or think up some way for people who don't live near you to meet. Being near you shouldn't be a requirement for that. :P
