Updates: Covid, Commissions, Election results

General
Good news, both of my grandparents are doing fine despite having Covid! My grandpa had to spend a day in the hospital, but he's back home now. Still sick, and very weak, but all his vitals were very good! This makes my job a lot harder, since my sister is also sick, I'm the only one who can help him eat/shower/go to the bathroom/etc. But just I'm grateful he's okay.
Commissions will be opening at the end of this month!
I've got some things to finish up for a few people (thanks so much for being patient you guys, I promise I'll get you updates asap) and then I should have about 4-5 slots opening. Not sure how I'll do things this time around, but I really liked the 'idea submission' form from last time. That way everyone gets a shot and it's not just random.
Also the election happened! And as you might have guessed I couldn't be happier with the results~
A lot of people were talking about a 'blue wave' in the Senate and House, but to be perfectly honest I'm really glad that didn't happen. Yes, I think Mitch Mcconnel needs to get his balls run over by a train repeatedly, but at the end of the day our government works best when both sides have due representation. An America that is controlled by a large blue majority in the senate, house, and presidency would be a disaster. Just as it would be if all 3 were controlled by Republicans. We need discourse. We need one side to rein in the other. That's how democracy works.
I disagree with Republicans on almost every issue, but Republicans are Americans too. They have a right to have their concerns represented, and a right to have their voices heard just like I do. Trump is the antithesis to all of that. Stacking the supreme court is a perfect example. He wants victory at all costs, fairness be damned. His hypocrisy has defined his presidency, and it will likely define the GOP going forward in the future. Will the Republican party manage to put itself back together after Trump shredded any of their claims to basic decency? I don't know.
But I am excited to wake up on January 21st and know someone who recognizes how important fairness and discourse is in America. Hopefully Biden can bridge the gaps and heal the divides Trump has carved into this country like he said he will. And I wish him luck.
He's still no Bernie Sandshrew though.

Also take my money for commissions yes
I have high hopes from Biden!
Glad to hear you and yours are doing well despite the unfortunate circumstances.
Also, I'll be eager to see what comes of those submissions for commissions!
Regardless of who you voted for won or not we all need to come together as Americans despite our differences, sure we can have disagreements and argue but at the end of the day we shouldn't hate each other over political views (That's just silly!) We are called the United States after all :3
As a military member I respect the President in the highest regards no matter who they, however it doesn't mean I have to like/agree with them. I will say one thing I really appreciated from Trump was all the raises that he gave us, who doesn't like a raise? Other than that I really didn't notice very much.
On a final note just be kind to one another, best way to beat hate is love,
While I don't usually care about either side, my family is Republican, and it does my heart good that you treat both side equally. :)
Ill admit biden wouldn't be my first choice but i don't think he can do worst than trump or his more hardcore supporters.
Maybe now we can actually heal and maybe congress can finally do the shit they were supposed to do months ago.
Most of all I'm just glad this election is finally over. This whole year just felt like constant waiting for stuff to happen, and anxiety being built up.
Best of luck going forward from here!
In most European countries, the mainline US Democrat policies would be considered Center-Right, while certain other Democrat factions would be their own separate parties that have plenty of disagreements on policies. The Republicans, meanwhile, would be the outlawed ultra-nationalist party, lol.
So, yeah. Abolish the Republican party and divide the Democrat party into smaller ones. That way you get rid of the hateful trash and still have plenty of discourse and debate about policies.
This was a harsh lesson I learned the hard way and its a price I still pay to this day, and I tried to warn someone who literally hated Trump in ways that was terrifying and when she did not listen and when one of her fans who was a Trump supporter provided a valid and reasonable point I saw her absolutely loose her mind and flat out demonize that fan all because of his personal views.
Long story short, not everyone hated Trump just as not everyone liked him at all. This entire election only proves George Washington's point before he left office on why he thought the entire party system was a bad idea and would have deep consequences for the country and he was right.
I used to be for one side but that was a long time ago and that is something I will never get into ever again. But ever since last election and this election I see so many of the same things I have done from many others and I feel I need to warn anyone from making the same mistakes as I do.
Don't bring politics onto here or if you have a fan base. By doing so you alienate your fan base because there are probably a number of fans who are trump supporters but keep their mouths and opinions shut but to them this election almost feels like all hope is lost and...something like this could really destroy them.
And I know I'm most likely going to be flamed criticize and all kinds of hate or worse for this message even if my intentions are not for either side my intentions are for the concerns of every one of both sides who have their respective views and such but wish to keep to themselves because of fear of any or everything. But are still hurt from this entire election and for those who were hurt from the last election as well.
Again I am for no side and I do not write this in any form of disrespect or anything but for deep concern and worry for you and many others. We need to keep politics and other things that guaranteed feathers being ruffled away and just do the things we enjoy and live with others.
Thank you for your time and please don't take any of these the wrong way as again I mean no disrespect or to take any side.
Hope to reach out and chat more in the future.
