Comgrats! Playing shows is great....something I truly miss about being in a proper band. It's VERY addictive. Couple of things to keep in mind....FIRST is, adrenaline will be running high, so pay attention to your eachothers cue's, as you'll likely be playing your tunes faster and not realizing it, that is perfectly normal and even pro's do it...hell, it sounds cool even....BUT just make sure you guys pay attention to timing, lock in with your drummer at all times. The SECOND thing is if you feel some stage fright, don't worry, it's normal, and even John Lennon suffered from bad stage fright, only human. Biggest thing to cope with that is to just remember to have fun! And if somebody messes something up, not the end of the world. Most small mistakes the audience will never be the wiser unless you call attention to it, and even if it IS big one, just cover eachother butts, smile, laugh it off, and roll with it, cuz even if it seems devastating, if you laugh it off in good spirits, the crowd will too...maybe even they'll think it part of the act. And THIRD, don't play volume wars with eachother....get it so EVERYONE in the band can be heard properly. And how you hear stuff on stage is NOT how it sounds FOH (front of house, or crowds perspective). If theres no soundman at the gig, have a trusted, mutual, friend of the band who you know has a decent ear listen in the crowd while you do a quick sound check, and let him tell you who's too loud and whos not loud enough. Again, make sure this person is someone you know know's how you should sound overall as a band, and can trust to be honest and objective with you all.....like, for example, if the guy is the brother bass player....guess who's gonna probably be drowning out the crowd? Yup...he bass player. I've seen many scenarios like that.

This is the kinda stuff I wish somebody told me when I was starting out. But again, most off all, have fun!
