Covid sucks, hope her family has a full and speedy recovery.

No kidding! I don't have it - thank God - but based on how the numbers have been steadily increasing on all the news reports and seeing all the tweets of those affected day in and day out, I can already feel the weight of how scary this pandemic and illness is. :( I, too, hope she feels a lot better soon, and I hope she and her mates stay safe as well.

Covid is going to be here for a while at least, you're young and healthy, Covid swept through my local auto parts store, 4 guys ranging in age from 30-70, only the owner had the symptom of no sense of smell or taste and nothing for anyone else. one employee didn't get it so they all took two weeks off and closed the store for that time.

Yeah, it's a real shame. 2021 might as well be "2020 Part 2."

That's it. I'm young and healthy and would rather stay that way. Last thing I need is this shitty pandemic to take even me, too. Granted, there's arguably a lot of personal stress that subjectively outweighs even that disease right now, but I'm hanging in there. ;>_>

Yep and thanks, they're all friends and all okay, two weeks followed by some tests, all recovered with only minor symptoms. Well 2/10 will have moderate symptoms 8/10 seem to have no symptoms. and the fatal percentage of those 20 percent is less than 2 percent. Odds are pretty low. Your odds of being killed by a drunk driver are a smidge higher.

Don't worry. Unless she has a serious health issue, like cancer or advanced diabetes, she stands a 99.95% of recovery and chances are if she isn't expressing any symptoms, she's had this for quite some time and got over it without knowing it.

In which case she can donate blood plasma and make a ton of money!

The irony is she was looking to getting tests done for cancer, but now they're on hold 'cause they discovered that she has COVID-19. But that being said, she and her mate haven't been showing any serious symptoms. They'll still be careful around each other though and take precautions. Still, that's a scary thought having COVID-19 for some time with no symptoms and never knowing it. ;o_o

I don't think you understand how any of this actually works. Most healthy people will be over the virus in a matter of days or a couple of weeks, some with, and many without symptoms.

She wouldn't necessarily have had the Wuhan virus that long, just that her body is still producing antibodies for it. This is not that different that what your body and most other people go through every year for the influenza and common cold viruses.

And if she was getting cancer tests done, then she should move ahead with it getting them done ASAP as delaying too long can truly prove fatal should should have developed a cancer of some type and the cancer metastasize and spread through her body.

She's just focusing on taking care of herself. She's been sleeping it off and taking it easy. Not out of the woods obviously, but she's managing okay to my knowledge.

She does still have some symptoms, but we're taking it easy and using every precaution. Hopefully she will recover without any lasting effects. Of course I'll keep you personally up to date on how things are progressing.
