My cat Smudge has got feline asthma and has been hospitalized last night. It started three weeks ago the first time he was breathing heavily. I took him to the vet, they put medicine in him and he was better for a while. Until earlier this week he began breathing heavily again. It's gotten a lot worse so I took him to an emergency pet hospital. Thankfully they were open 24 hrs a day everyday including weekends. They charged me $650 for hospital stay where they put him on oxygen, now they are charging over a thousand for medication. All that for one old cat! That's more then what I make at work every two weeks.

Based on all the money I'm spending on this cat, I may try to open commissions if anyone out there would be interested. That's another problem too. If I try to open commissions, no one bothers to comment, send notes, or even say they're interested.

I hope Smudge will get better after all this. If his asthma comes back, I may have no choice but to put him down. I really don't want to do that. I've had him for 11 years he's always been a good cat.
