It really pains me to say this but... the doctors called and said Smudge's breathing improved a little but not as we hoped. Because of his asthma and possibly cancer in his lungs. When out of the oxygen tank, he had a hard time breathing. My mother and I had to make the final decision... we had to put him down. I never wanted it to come to this but I feel like it's better this way then to just sit there and watch him suffer. We said our last goodbye to him before putting him down and he died in my arms. It was the hardest moment for me to deal with. I didn't just lose a pet, I just lost a family member. Rest in peace Smudge, you were a good cat and lived a good life. I will never forget you. :( 2009-2020.
