hey everyone, im so sorry i have been quiet let alone dead on my account...
i'm doing alright, and i am slowly getting out of this art funk, for those of you who still have watched me, thank you so much for your support, and for those of you who have been waiting on commissions, thank you deeply for your patience..
as you all know, I am the creator of the Koberu species, most of you are probably following me because of them, and it brings me great joy that you find an interest in these space doggos, however i have been thinking about the species and how i have been managing them.
as you know they are a closed species, and i do not allow others to make them or sell them as adopts, and this has caused me much stress due to people trying to either, steal them from others or trying to make their own undercover, which of course i do not condone theft and they are not allowed to be made as adopts and sold or have a custom one made.
however...
i have been thinking for months and months on my approach on this, Amaterasu knows how badly i want to make them open, the koberu species is meant to represent freedom of creativity, they can practically adapt and become anything they wish, of course their base breeds are a mixture of a hellhound and any dog breed, but mutations are possible and they can be genetically altered to have special abilities, my goal for this species was so that who ever got one could customize it to their hearts content.
but, i feel like i have become disconnected from them since all the drama started over them, i will admit how i went about dealing with the drama was, a very poor choice and i will own up to that, and past interactions with others i wish i could of did different, but i have grown from those, but that does not change my view on the koberu...
i use to be proud and happy with how they were coming along, but i feel like the restrictions i have on them are too much, so i want to ask you all a question and please be honest with me
do you think the koberu should be an open species, and if so, why?

do you think the koberu should be an open species, and if so, why?
Hybrid system being like, you have to get approval for a Koberu to be 'canon' and official vs just fully open where you have no control at all

I know when Vashaa has done them with her Shiji-long there were three winning designs that became Canon, she just basically laid out the rules of what traits could be used on them and let people do what they wanted from there.
