Hey guys.
When I wrote that journal about Kelly's Birthday, I wasn't really expecting anyone to reply with actual answers, but lo and behold, I received quite a few very thought-provoking suggestions, ranging from just deleting the story to totally rewriting every Dave and Kelly story.

I certainly had a lot to think about. Now I'm not certain, but I believe what I'm going to do is rewrite Kelly's Birthday so that the general events that transpire are the same, but they'll be carried out in a way that fits in better with the characters involved. I'll probably just make it a new submission ("Kelly's Birthday Director's Cut" or something equally silly) and move the old one to scraps so that people who really liked that version can still access it.

Now this wouldn't be happening for a while, mind you, I'm currently juggling three or four stories as it is, and for whatever reason I'm having trouble finding the motivation to write. It's not writer's block, I've got ideas, I'm just finding it difficult to actually sit down and make words happen. :P

But I wanted to say thanks to you guys for the responses, I really appreciated them. They helped me consider a problem from several different angles and ultimately helped in making a decision.
