Should I upload more photos of Araluen..?
If yes, should they go in scraps seeing as I don't have a proper camera?
If no, is there something I should do to the photos to make them more acceptable? Apart from photoshopping them until they're no longer recognisable?
How do you feel about people uploading photographs of their pets?
Do you upload any photos?
I don't know.

I personally want more Araluen photos. He's so pink and pretty. XD
Especially if the pet is worth sharing XD Pet rocks? Uh... maybe one pic will do... and where possible, I prefer collages. (cough http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2860968/ cough) But most of the time, I think they belong in scraps.
Oh god he's so pinkkkkk. ;_____;
But exporting any Australian native is VERY illegal, so even if your local zoo wanted one, they're hard to come by. Even breeders over there ask $1200+ US whereas I paid $20AU for Luen.
The pinkness. It buuuuurns.
I'd love to visit Australia. It's right up there with New Zealand and Africa in terms of my dream trips. My dad's really hardcore into diving so I'm probably a lot more likely to make it to Australia or New Zealand in my lifetime. (Everyone I talk to about wanting to go to Africa chides me for not thinking of the OMG DANGER.) To see flocks of cockatoos in the wild would be absolutely amazing.
But yeah, you pretty much can't import birds from anywhere these days without serious paperwork. Really, the United States is quite lucky to have such a diversity of parrot species as is, since we're not exactly home to many parrots naturally. (Carolina Parakeets and Thick-Billed Parrots, first one's totally extinct, I think the second's extinct in the United States now but does fairly well elsewhere. I think they tried to re-introduce some in Arizona one year but it failed.)
There IS however a woman in Northern California working to legally import some Gang Gang cockatoos and Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos for a cooperative breeding program, though. Which is hella exciting.
The Dallas Zoo or the Fort Worth Zoo MAY have Galahs already, by the way, but I wouldn't know. My vet's been telling me that the keepers are quite eager to show off their behind-the-scenes birds so I've been trying to get in touch with a few for a tour. So maybe someday I'll know. XD They're still next to impossible to aquire as pets here. (The price difference is CRAZY!)
But yeah, I'm not usually a fan of pink, but the grey, pale pink, and bright pink together is just a gorgeous color combination, and it's so striking to see it naturally on a living creature.
Australia has this reputation for having OMG scary spiders and GASP snakes... but I've lived here all my life and I've seen... one snake? Poisonous spiders keep away from people as a general rule and the largest spiders are usually pretty docile... I don't really get all the fuss, but it is fun to tease the tourists 0:}
I'm not a fan of pink either... More of a purple person... But I've adored the playful goofy personality of galahs since I was a kid, so I was doomed to have a pink chicken.
I definitely need to take more photos, either way. Probably not wise to do it now, however... being 5am and all.
WAKE UP LUEN IT'S PHOTO TIME. lol
