Adobe Animate exports to HTML 5, which is enough to do some basic timeline-based interactivity and is probably enough for what I do. Runs well too.
There's no way to host it on site though, which is a drag. Love it or hate it, Flash is a self-contained (albeit insecure) format that has no clear replacement
