fursona help!

the main creatures I connect with that I'm constantly shuffling between for a fursona are Fallow deer, domestic rabbit, caracal, and cheetah. I can never decide what feels most like me and it's frustrated sometimes lol. also I know and I acknowledge it is perfectly fine to have multiple fursonas! I will always have secondary fursonas! <3 Hyrbid and shapeshifters are valid too just not for me!
I'm just someone who prefers to have a main as well, I want a sona to represent me in everyform. but I've been in a fursona rut the past few years unfortunately
I sadly had something very stressful happen with my kangaroo sona ages ago which almost made me disconnect with them entirely. I still adore roos as animals and drawing them though.
What helped you choose your fursona? I'd appreciate some insight and advice. I know it's silly but it's a genuinely important to me!
I'd also appriciate your insight, what sort of animal/fursona would you give someone like me? here's a bit of info

tbh personal of all the designs you've bebopped around with for sonas/OCs.II've always felt that the cheetah fit you the most for some reason.
In my case I knew I resonated with hyenas, and found out aardwolves match my more reclusive but family oriented personality almost perfectly!
Given the list you gave, I'd definitely say some sort of deer, or maybe mountain goat? They're cautious because they are a prey animal, but still pretty fearless, enjoy mountains, and are usually in small family groups~
Another option i thought of is an otter. They're playful and a little extroverted, kindof eat a little bit of everything, and can keep themselves entertained if need be~
Though there’s also the cryptid jackalope which is a bunny with antlers is awesome and means you could mix the domestic bunny and the deer
But I know your not especially a fan of mixing
Just do what feels best in your heart and that’s the right pick
There are a variety of animals that are easily startled; bats, beavers, cats, dogs, foxes, goats, horses, hyenas, etc. What I would personally do is look up breeds of animals and look into subspecies within that breed, see what one speaks to you. That's how I am so specific about what my sona is. I love the colors of both red wolves and siberian huskies and a lot of their traits match my own.
Just go with what you feel drawn to the most ^^
my current one is a finnish lapphund/golden retriever! i'm a good chunk swedish, but the swedish lapphund only comes in black and i really prefer going with brown coats to match my hair, so! finnish lappie. the golden is there because i adore them jsdklgjdflhk
def based on the info you dropped, though, deer or rabbit sound like great fits! however, there are also polecats/ferrets? i don't know a whole lot, but i've seen so many videos of them going SPRONG and wiggling around when they're taken off guard, they're best in at least a pair (so, like, kind of social but not intensely!), i think some wild species are fishers???
I'm also an ENFP but like 1% away from being an INFP.
also research a bit about the usual personality traits of these species and look for what fits best :3
a Fusky is a husky fox, i really like foxes and huskies ate my fav dog breed.. However what made me do this is my phobia for canids. I have been terrified of dogs for a looong time, and it was my goal to no longer be scared. Those species aren't my favourite ones either.
I can also be derpy and clever like a fox, as well as having as much endurance as a husky pulling a sled in alaska or so.
Mostly my sona has also been a goal to me and the further i got away from beinga scared of canids, the closer i got to me sona ^^
My sona represents the good things in life, and shiws me as a happy person and brightens my own days a lot as ive have a depression for quite some years.
So for me that's a tough one, since you don't connect with hybrids and my own judgement of people sucks. A mix of those animals would be very exciting to see. This seems like one of those cases, where you have to take a step in a direction and see if you're truly happy with it - filtering it out with time.
