circumvention of government instated security protocols is a felony of computer misuse. Its just that they wont prosecute everyone because its wasted use of limited resources. Its never been prosecuted though so no case law exists

There always has been a second internet its called the "darknet" its pretty much the wild west though and there is no security regulation, or enforcement. Its a very dangerous and unsafe place where drug lords and real pedophiles go to avoid detection.

I would hate to have to use the darkenet to enjoy my babyfur stuff or general media but with the Canadian Firewall and others coming thanks to copyright and cultural paranoia one would wonder.

if its a fan character from an established property then its a "derivative work". While the streaming bill hasnt passed yet it could be considered a copyrighted stream to show commissions of such on a art stream...

Copyright has always been an issue of fairness. In no other industry is "work" so challenged by a creator driven access scheme than in copyright. It is in-itself forcing people to pay for what they look at or make public and its a controversial thing.

I think there needs to be a better balance or some kind of "universal international license" that makes consumers do whatever they wish to at certain levels but the parties and countries involved are antagonistic and in continuous conflict with each other.'

I doubt it but i see it being a never ending battle between big media style censorship and control vs small town newspaper style openness. Over Commercialization has really put a dent into what the internet is supposed to be.
