Misinformation is a virus that corrupts entire masses who refuse to accept that they can be wrong. They were raised that being wrong is losing, and losing is bad. *sigh*

I've been called multiple names by people for merely having a neutral stance and making observations. I've been insulted and attacked for blocking people I want nothing to do with, including seeking me out on other websites.

They wonder why I block them? That behavior. They cannot be reasoned with.

I don't understand their mentality at all... And I study human social psychology as a hobby. x.x

I am with you on all these points. I wish it didn't have to come to this... But know you're not alone.

Man, what little I've spoken with you, you sure do seem delusional in your political beliefs and LOVE throwing caustic comments about people you don't agree with without looking at an introspective of what your own political party's problems are, as well as seeing that blaming one single entity for something that multiple entities are responsible for is disgusting, man. The 'freedom of speech' peddlers wanting to force it on Private Businesses are wanting to force a Communism Policy on businesses... I'm not using communist as an insult. I'm using it as the definition.

And I tell people "Communism works if everyone is an emotionless robot", so don't think I'm defending communism either. I defend humanitarianism, science, and education.

Also, stating that "Communist is the same as Socialist!" is like saying Republican is the same as Democrat O.o I don't know why people keep confusing the two. they're vastly differing ideals.

I don't know if you're going to be able to get through to him. People who go into public forums and sprout propaganda like that are either trolling or effectively brainwashed. I get you're trying to help him, but most Americans aren't educated on communism or socialism, definitely not well enough to discuss it philosophically or in the arena of debate. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot force it to drink, it's much the same with the ignorant and the truth. I appreciate you trying though.

And yeah, the American left aren't communists, they're at best light socialists. I've known real, full-fledged communists, they're very nice people, very generous and community-oriented. Democrats would be seen as European center, which is about as middle of the road and reasonable as it gets in a first world democracy. And for the sake of keeping things civil, I'm not going to be discussing my thoughts on the American right at the moment, let's just say that I could write a novel on their failures, corruption, and appalling acts. Eisenhower was right to warn about the military-industrial complex, I suppose I should be glad that he didn't live to see the nation he loved so much become the very thing he fought to stop.

And holy crap, you put everything I have researched in one place. I'm so happy to see another who sees exactly what I'm seeing. Each time I bring up the points you did, people go "but antifa!" and "LOL SOCIALIST SHEEP" and shit... So I've given up. I'm tired.

They're conditioned to think like that from constant exposure to the same ideologies and isolating themselves from outside views. I've researched antifa a bit, and I've talked with some people whom I'm not going to state here. They're small pockets, individual disorganized cells of concerned citizens, mostly college students and younger folks. The right portray them like they're this massive, organized, and dangerous, monolithic evil that's a major threat. There's no reality in that portrayal, but the upper echelons of the alt right probably know that, they just use that to manipulate the ignorant to propel themselves to a position of power. It's like calling a child's birthday party Al Qaeda because one of the little ankle-biters tried to punch your knee. :)

I will say that Antifa really messed up, jumping the gun and going too far too early. But honestly after seeing the raid on the Capitol, I have to say that they were perfectly justified in their fears, history has proven them correct. I suppose it's one of those "judge the message not the messenger" moments.

It's all vitriolic now. *sigh* Where even if you go "Right now, this is correct" you get insulted and called out "This isn't a laughing matter, you're upset that I'm right" I'm like... wh... what?

It's what I dubbed "political escalation syndrome" we have one side pushing for greater and greater extremes, which forces the other side to react to that, and it becomes a sort of feedback loop where both sides get increasingly aggressive, defensive, irritable, and hostile. Happened before WW2, but it's happening today a lot faster thanks to the internet.

I think there's flaws in perspective from both sides- hell, many sides, actually- and not just one. It's unfair to lump together the fringe with the majority of right, just as you say it's unfair to assume the majority by the actions of the fringe of the left. There are also flawed views of what happened at the Capitol, but I'd rather not get into that here. That isn't what the journal was for.

Understandable. It's hard to keep people from talking about this nowadays. Just a sign of the times. I can't wait for this whole thing to pass.

As far as I know and continue to see, no, republicans are not communist.
