Discord Server Advice?

To anyone who runs a Discord server: any tips on getting either more members or more activity on there? I've go a solid thing going, but I feel like the growth is kind of stunted.

I try to keep conversation going regularly, although I hadn't thought of community events. Maybe I'll explore those!
