Placeholders!
Finally got some time to put pen to paper on this visual novel thing. Part of the time spent is fiddling with the software and learning its quirks and limitations.
But I did get some placeholders down with a rough starter conversation with the three characters.
The opening scenario is largely unplanned at the moment but I have some ideas. Wake up late, miss the new guild job postings, only couple left is something dumb like killing a couple of normal rats in some asshole's basement or... a really high paying job of traveling to and defeating the Dark Sorceress, a job everyone else is frankly too smart to take because everyone who's gone out there has gone missing.
So screw it. You need money, you've got a ragtag band of friends you met during your time in this town. Pack your stuff and go slay some psycho. Easy right?
I'm not gonna go too crazy with the vore CGs. There will probably be one for each bad end with some variants where needed. There's probs gonna be like ten bad ends too, I think. I wanted each major character interaction to give you that option.
The challenge comes with changing expressions and poses with all the characters. That's gonna be a task. I'm sure I'll hone in on a good method while I'm screwing around. But between it all the proportions and sorta.. volume(?) of the characters needs to be reasonably maintained. Can't have their head slightly smaller in one pose compared to the other. Gotta try my best to nail that, get real myopic about it so I fuck up a bunch of other things instead. :000
Next minor milestone is getting down a placeholder background which will complete the scene enough for me to care to take a picture and share it. Milestone after that is one expression change for each of the three characters currently in game. Later on we'll get more complicated with changes in pose. Gotta cross them arms 'n shit.
Should be fun.
But I gotta work 40 hours this week which sucks. I really wanted Monday off but there's simply too much to do.
I'll try to stay well-rested so I don't crash after work every evening. Speaking of that, I'm going to bed.
