Dumb question for a friend but: What do you mean by Western European Standard time? Isn't WEST Western European Summer time? With the non-summer variant being WET?

I understand the confusion, I think I've used WEST too as in Western European Summer Time. But it's wrong (Or at least I think so, I'm trusting Google here) every time I search "my timezone" it tells me it's Western European Standard Time. And the hours line up correctly.

Would that put you at UTC+0 or UTC+1? I'm european myself and even im confused lmao

And I think I'm a dumb ass and could just use WET since it's the same as Western European Standard Time. Again I was just going off of what Google and other timezone sites said, but I guess it's redundant to add "Standard" in there and people gonna confuse it with the other time zones 💦
