An Other Update!

Hullo all!
Another customary round of thanking you for stopping by, seeing the newest renders and such, and hopefully enjoying the few things I've been able to do recently. I've slowed down a lot with the render stuff, half from lack-of-inspiration, and half from just wanting to do something new.

RENDERS
My entry into Iray has been a bit of a challenge. I have to redo the shaders for all the characters, which is time consuming by itself initially: but eventually I'll reach the 'copy and paste' phase, which will speed things up! Regardless, the biggest hurdle I'm dealing with is fur. See, I used a plugin called Garibaldi Hair for all my fuzzy characters, which could be rendered in 3Delight really easily (and with fewer crashes than another plugin called LAMH). But Garibaldi Hair eventually was transformed into a free-to-use, built-in plugin called "Strand Based Hair" which was released in a recent version of Daz Studio, and is natively Iray compatible.
So now, I could totally do my renders in Iray for greater photo-realism, yay! But I can't just copy/paste the fur for all my characters, meaning I have to remake it all from scratch, boo! Furthermore I've run into a memory issue however. I need to tell my computer to stop using the C:\ and start using the D:\, otherwise I have slow render speeds and crashes.

LIFE
Right now I'm in the middle of training a leadership course, in the middle of a busy time in my work career, in the middle of a house with mold, which means I'm in the middle of moving to a new house I literally just signed off on today. It's been pretty crazy. And not really a 'bad' kind of crazy, just an 'uncomfortable' kind of crazy. Comfort is where my creativity thrives, and I haven't been getting a lot of it lately. So I appreciate y'alls patience as I continue to make progress forward, and hopefully find myself in a more inspiring situation within the coming months.

Again, many thanks for visiting here. There's so many artists out there, and I appreciate you taking the time to check out what I've got. I hope you browse my favorites and give other people a visit too, or keep hunting FA and beyond for the awesome works people are putting their heart, soul and skill into. Don't hesitate to leave questions, comments, notes or anything else if you got thoughts on your mind you think I can add input on, and I'll do my best to respond in a timely manner.
Cheers again, be safe, and have fun!

Many cheers for that Mongo! I had some luck indeed, and everything worked out alright. Just getting back into the usual swing of things now.
