Ych's are good because you already have a clear idea and the ones who likes it, pays for it.

Yeah, very true and considering my flaw of mostly doing Wing-it's.. it seems like Ych's might actually be something really important to do eheh.

Though if I may, What is running a Patreon like for you? Is it incredibly difficult compared to just taking commissions? Is it more about just some extra funds and maybe building a community? I think your thoughts on Patreon would be really welcomed and highly valued if you were willing to give them blitz! Ah, Definitely not a requirement though!

It's hard to make it grow without paywalling sadly, and if you paywall, you get weird angry people doing stuff out of spite and envy against you, but the good part is that you get some extra muns if you constantly make content. At least I promise 3 comic pages per month, and then the rest are pics that I just wanted to draw.

My issue with adoptables are twofold. On one hand, the ones that doesn't sell tend to look weird or have a very niche design. On the other, the moment it has a generally likable design, it's most likely already sold.

Yeah, they do seem to just get Autobuyed a lot. Otherwise they just never sell because the design is too weird. I have to admit there have been some designs that have even made me one wanna get them! Sahime does some real fantastic ones!

Your art style is amazing, but the experimental nature of your commissions can make people wary of committing since they don't know what they're gonna get. Offering YCHs would give buyers a clearer idea of what they're gonna get, and I think they would skyrocket in price way higher than your usual commission slots. I could see you pulling off $300 YCHs that you'd normally charge $100 for.

The same goes for Patreon. Your art style is absolutely phenomenal, but you not posting WIPs kinda makes you a black box to most people. These two things could make timelapses posted to Patreon a tantalizing offer, just so people can get a peek into the world of how you make such amazing pieces.

I personally love when artists offer art rewards for the higher tiers (but that's just me being greedy for more art.) Also, many artists find those to be the hardest thing to pull off and sometimes not worth the effort. I would 100% buy into the highest tier if you did that though. 👀

So you really think people wanna see my WIP's? I know sounds lame of me but I'm just honestly baffled since how I do things often changes rather drastically. The only thing that doesn't is that its quickish and done in maybe 3 layers max. WIP's and other things would probably be on offer even for the lowest tiers of course. I agree in that seems like a staple to offer and if someone doesnt then.. like wtf. I know its what I look for in other artists X'D

Hmm depends on an art tier like that, in the end I feel it has to be a "deal" since its supposedly monthly. but since someone can walk out on it whenever I feel its difficult to coordinate! I think in the end I can only let someone I trust take a slot like that! Assuming I made one, its definitely on my mind a lot when I think "What to add to a Patreon". That and if I add a discord server, though in the end if someone is willing to support me I think sure as shit would want to speak to em in a chat haha. It is nice to know I would have your support Cherry!

Not sure how much my thoughts on things like this matter, but I can share them if it's open.

For adopts, similarly I have very mixed feelings towards. Indeed, if something is already a good design, then may as well keep it, on the other hand if it isn't or if it's odd, then it can take a very long time to sell. The times I do see adopts do well are only when they are put as an AB, but in that case they rarely ever last longer than a day at most.
Overall I have a less than positive opinion on them. That said, if one was bent on doing it, then "egg adopts" are something that I've been a fan of more than anything else. They lack a preset design, so people are pretty much paying for whatever comes out. Sometimes with a few preset design options. But that would fall back into the "if I like it, I'll keep it for myself" dilemma haha.

For patreon, yeah, it's difficult to grow it. Not to mention getting people to join and stick around can also be even harder. Creating content for it is a whole different thing as well. Sketches tend to be a mixed bag, but getting stuff like alternate versions of existing art is never bad either. Paywalling it is the best way to go, but it also gathers a bunch of people getting mad at you for doing so.

Me personally? I like seeing sketches and the production work before the final piece, so definitely count me in if you plan to try patreon out. Always great to see early concept art. I would be really curious as to what you would do for adopts if you did so, as far as what direction you would take for it.

I just did my first YCH (Before you go looking it's vore, you've all been warned). It was a big success and I had a lot more folks jumping on it than expected. They get your art cheaper than a regular commission and you get paid well for your time. Win/win in my opinion. I haven't really considered adoptables and I'm also in the considering patreon stage. I'm just starting with my art but I feel that if I wait until I'm ready to start a patreon I'll just keep moving the goal posts.

To add to this: I was warned not to go to Onlyfans due to brigading/death threats others have received. I can't say for certain that's happening there, but it's a claim worth investigating first.
