It's one of those things you have to decide for yourself.

I feel like the 'use SFW' mode only goes so far for some people. Some people don't like mixing content with minor characters with content featuring adults doing grown-up things. (Even when it's the same character at different ages.) Other people seem to have no problem with it so long as the minor characters are only in SFW stuff.

Mixing the content is part of it. While it doesn't bother me I worry its jarring to the user. I keep think of some one browsing the cute babyfur art and then suddenly hitting something very kinky.

Like I said to Marina I would feel a lot more comfortable if FA allowed users to have custom filters by keyword instead of just SFW Mode.

I feel it is too much a hassle for little gain. There is a lot of logistics to handle when there is a SFW mode.

I'm guessing about 40% of my content is NSFW so it would be a lot of work to start. Someone did message me that FireFox has a bulk upload plugin for FA, so that would make it easier. After that maintaining it wouldn't be too bad.

Your comment makes me feel a bit better about the current setup. While I wasn't thinking about you specifically I was thinking of viewers like you that have some things they really don’t want to see. I maybe even over tag as I’ve hit the tag limit few times.

In the case of wet/messy art (which is a minority in my gallery) if it was a cub picture it would still be in the SFW account even though marked “mature”. Because of things like that I would feel a lot more comfortable if FA allowed users to have keyword filters.

Keyword filter blocklists here would be a dream come true. XD

I said this to someone else on my journal, but basically as someone who buys art to post you don't really need to worry too much about how people see your gallery or what they think about what you post. But for someone who sells their art like me, it's a little more important to think about the contents of my gallery. Basically your gallery is first and foremost for you, its you who buys the art posted there, while my gallery is for me and my clients/potential clients, its more important for me to appeal to as many people as possible.

But if it would give you peace of mind then I'd say go for it, keeping myself sane is the reason I have separate galleries after all.

I agree, if I offered commissions I probably would have split them from the start.
