This is a bipartisan problem affecting multitudes of people across America and it needs to stop:

A single payer system, medicare for all, would do that at a cost of increased taxes, a public insurance option would help that because if people had an option to buy into a system that is regulated only by its own needs, then once companies got too greedy, offered too little while asking too much, the market would naturally turn consumers on to the public option. When companies ran leaner and did their job well, they would get customers back because they are able to offer better prices even after profit considering the bureaucratic overhead that the public option naturally has.

It is the worst system in history. To leave a person to die when there is a chance of life is the most heinous crime in my books.
